All it took was the click of a button to approve the E-proof of Taxi to America. And then it was time to organize the next phase of my book’s journey-get the word out, AKA marketing. I welcomed the distraction from thinking and anticipating the hard copy proof. In case you missed my last blog in which I show you the proof’s arrival, check it out.
After receiving the hard copy proof and loving it, I clicked another button which send it to print. Two weeks later, it was official. My memoir became available for pre-orders. One thought nudged the next to be in the forefront to tantalize and encourage the excitement which consumed my entire being. Intellectually I knew it happened, the dream came true-I did it. But it would take days to get used to the idea.
Even though I posted on social media that Taxi to America is available for preorders, it hasn’t sunk in. I still feel as though I am waiting for my book to be published. It is published! Bookstores can find it on their computers. I keep typing the title in my web browser and checking to make sure it comes up-amazing feeling to see it right there on the screen. The comments on my social media posts are another proof. People are preordering and still I feel the need to convince myself that it has happened.
I am grateful for all who helped me to reach this point. I am grateful for the significant group of people I have working to promote Taxi to America, and I will name Stella’s Taxi Drivers in another blog.
Meanwhile, until my website is updated, you may use the following links to preorder your copy
