Giving thanks beyond Thanksgiving!
The Saturday following Thanksgiving was another rewarding event for everyone involved. I am grateful to Elaine Zetes, Toni Baer, and the members of the North Shore Hellenic Women’s Guild (NSHWG) for inviting me to speak about my book, Taxi to America at the Philoxenia House Benefit Luncheon.
His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios who had the vision and established this ministry was present. The Philoxenia House offers patients and their families a home away from home for long-term medical care to nearby Boston Hospitals.
I spoke to a full house at Danversport Yacht Club, Danvers MA. The atmosphere was energized with love, compassion, kindness, and laughter.
